Many different attractions can be found in Somerset in the UK. Dunster Castle is another spot you should check out. It is a 600 year old home that was remodeled about a hundred years ago. It is a castle that has claims to astounding views of the Bristol Channel and Exmoor as well. The paintings that are on the walls are great views for tourists to see. The gardens which are present on the property are full of citrus and strawberry trees, palm trees, and sub tropical plants as well. Tourists also are given the opportunity to take a stroll through here as well. It is open from 10am until 5pm all year round.

People who enjoy aircraft should be sure to visit the Fleet Air Arm Museum. It shows how the naval aviation evolved from the very beginnings in 1909 along with how air power is obtained from the likes of the sea. A replica of the earliest aircraft is visible for guests to view. It is a 1912 Short S27. Museum and theater also meet at the museum. Guests are able to fly to the aircraft carrier and you can experience jet fighters all around you along with a nuclear bomb re-enactment. It is the largest collection of aircraft in all of Europe.

Hayes International Motor Museum located in Somerset is where many people can enjoy a day out. This museum has over 400 different bicycles and cars on display for the public to see. These date all the way back to 1886 and include famous names such as Morris, MG, and Austin as well. The exotic lovers will be able to see some of the greatest Vipers, Jaguars, and Ferraris on display too. Children aren't going to be bored though because they can have fun on the race track, in the play area, or on a play bus that is available.

If you would rather visit the outdoor areas you may head to the Ham Hill Country Park. It gives views of Mendip Hills, Exmoor, and differing Somerset Levels. Other attractions include many different flower meadows, a medieval village, and native woodlands which give residents the ability to explore the outdoors all over the countryside in the 400+ acres. It is open all year long for tourists to visit.

Nature enthusiasts can visit the Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve. The reserve covers over 100 hectares in area. Many bird watchers are known to come to the area to spend time to catch sights of the varying species. This is the largest location for lowland acid mire in the entire region. This was a project from the 1980's enacted by the Somerset Wildlife Trust. It is one of the largest bird watching locations in all of Britain and has even been featured on many television shows and documentaries as well. The best season for bird watching occurs in the fall until February or so.
